Ace Race postponed until Sunday Oct 25th, 2009, as the discs got delayed by customs and aren't here yet...

Register for Discraft's International Ace Race, presented by Burnaby Ultimate & Disc Sports.

Saturday, Oct 17th 10am-3pm at the Robert Burnaby Disc Golf Course, start your rounds when you want, minimum group size: 3 people. All score cards must be submitted by the end of doubles to be considered for the grand prize. There will be BBQ'd burgers or dogs available for those who want to make a day of it. Optional: "Mundy Style Doubles" to follow (possibly on last year's Duck Golf course) $5 entry, $1 ace/ctp, $1 club.

Cost: $30, ($35 at the course) optional $2 extra for cash side acepot

Registration: On-Line http://burnaby.bcdss.bc.ca/ or at the course, save $5 by pre-registering online.

Format: 2 rounds (36 holes), groups of up to 8 people, one throw per hole.

Scoring: Mark down an A for an Ace, an M for hitting metal, blank otherwise.

Victory? The grand prize winner is the person with the most aces, tie breaker is the number of metal hits.

Grand Prizes: Overall winner gets a Discraft Prize Package, last year it contained: 12 Disc bag, Discraft towel and the following discs Z - Plastic: Avenger (173g), Breeze (171g), Buzzz (174g), Crush (171g), Flick (174g), Glide (176g), Surge (172g); ESP: Avenger SS (170g), Banger-GT (173g), Pulse (172g), Surge (173g); FLX: Buzzz (175g), Challenger (171g), Surge (170g).

Course: The course will be shortened to increase the chance of aces. Additionally, each basket will have 2 tees to create 18 holes. Google Map: Course is at the bottom (North End) of Hill Ave (by the Highway).

Restrictions: You must use only the new prototype disc(s) from your player package.

Efforts will be made to provide you with one disc of your first choice, if a substitution is to be made indicate in the comments section if you would like it to be lighter or heavier than your first choice. Second discs will be at a first come first serve basis at the event.
